1. 2012 Somerville Council
On January 1, 2012, Robert Wilson began serving his twelfth year on Somerville's Borough Council. In 2012, Rob serves as Somerville's Police Commissioner and Assistant Fire Commissioner.

1. Super Lawyers 2011
Kevin Kovacs was selected again to appear in the New Jersey Monthly Magazine by New Jersey Super Lawyers for 2011. New Jersey Super Lawyers designation is achieved through peer nomination, a panel review and independent research of candidates. Less than five percent of New Jersey lawyers are designated Super Lawyers.
2. Seminar Presentation
On October 11, 2010, Robert Wilson presented a Continuing Legal Education seminar on Municipal Court Practice at the Bridgewater Manor in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Rob moderated a panel including a Judge, prosecutor, and a defense counsel.
3. Workers' Compensation and Employment Law Committee Co-Chair
Kevin Kovacs was appointed the 2011-2012 Co-Chair of the Somerset County Bar Association Workers' Compensation and Employment Law Committee. As Co-Chair, Kevin will be involved in scheduling and participating in seminars with other attorneys regarding timely issues in the employment law and workers' compensation area.
4. Shop Rite Opening
In October 2011, Somerville Councilman, Robert Wilson, welcomed the new Saker Shop Rite to downtown Somerville, New Jersey. Rob has served for years on the Redevelopment Committee that brought this state of the art supermarket to Somerville's downtown.
5. Seminar Presentation
On October 13, 2011, Kevin Kovacs presented a seminar on Depositions under New Jersey and Federal Law as part of a panel of experienced trial lawyers. Kevin's topic involved use of depositions at trial. The seminar was presented by Lorman Education Services which provides continuing legal education services nationwide. The seminar was held at the Sheraton Hotel Radcliff in Edison, New Jersey.
6. Combat Paper Project
Kovacs & Wilson are proud supporters of the New Jersey Printmaking Centers' Combat Paper Project. The print center is located in Branchburg, New Jersey, and assists returning veterans from the Iraq and Afghanistan war through art therapy to help them transition into a return to civilian life.
7. Nationally Recognized Case
In July, 2011, Robert Wilson received the New Jersey Appellate Division's Decision in the case of State in the Interest of B.P.C., 421 N.J. Super. 329 (App. Div. 2011), a case that was reported by national print and television media regarding proper police procedure for interrogation of a minor.
8. Branchburg Rotary Foundation Treasurer
Kevin Kovacs was appointed the Treasurer for 2011 for the Branchburg Rotary Foundation. The Foundation is involved in various international and local charitable works including a project to assist orphans in Ecuador and Nepal, eradicating Polio and providing scholarships for local students. The Rotary Foundation of Branchburg is committed to the idea of service before self.
9. Somerset County Bar Association Seminar
Kevin Kovacs was a co-presenter at the May 11, 2011, Continuing Legal Education Day presented by the Somerset County Bar Association at the Bridgewater Manor in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Kevin presented a seminar on Preparing Witnesses for Trial and Depositions.
